New paper alert🚨 We report the occurrence of the seagrass-fouling bryozoan Juxtacribrilina mutabilis in eastern Canada! We found that the species was present since at least 2013 but had largely escaped notice. Important implications for detecting invasions of visually cryptic species.

Still reeling from an amazing experience at #ICCB2025! Grateful for the opportunity to present my research on language barriers, have many discussions on improving equity for non-native English speakers and other groups, and hear the first non-English talk I've seen at an international conference!
