True. However that didn’t change the essential nature of colonialism. But you know what - I am grateful to the British crown for one thing - the emergence of modern India - the way we know it.

Well, Calcutta, or Kolkata as we Indians like to call it is the home to an unique cuisine called Indian Chinese - A hotch potch of Chinese residents of Kolkata mainly from the Hakka region and the Indian palate. The recipes are unique to the region and not really found in Mainland China

A sad day indeed for Indian history. When we couldnt defend ourselves against a few foreigners and their native soldiers. I am sure all the crosses were deserved. But there is no one to blame but our very own ancestors for what came to pass. I say that as a proud Indian.
