As teachers, we know about Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Hungry kids won't achieve as much as they could if they were fed. So, even though it seems small, making sure students aren't sitting there hungry is essential.

Just saw #TheGreatBearRainforest 😭 in Omni theatre. Man this would be an amazing field trip for my students. We teach #naturalresources in the first unit & I added in a bit about #salmonmigration which they found *fascinating* Goal for next year! #ITeachScience #climateconversation #TXEducation 🐻🐟🌲
