Tragic, and also brings home the realities to all parents and family of those that have been sexually abused. The biggest, darkest fear that are children won’t be able to heal.

No excuse. A social worker told me ‘sexual abuse doesn’t kill children’ so I should let my daughters have contact with their abuser as was his right. My daughter has since, 7 years on thought about suicide, self harmed and has had to work incredibly hard to make small steps to get out of it.
