I do stuff. I'll tell you about it here. Founder of @TheMovieGuysOnline, The @LALocationsTour, Digital Mind Productions, and co-host of The Ford Fiesta podcast. The bit, above all things.
Anyone ever see these mudflaps around L.A. and wonder if Jeff Garlin, Robert Hegyes, and Gabe Kaplan started a used commercial truck dealership? Just me? Am I doomed to deep references?

Annual pilgrimage to Grinchmas at Universal Studios Hollywood - complete! Every year, Susan and I take in the tree lighting in Whoville and have a meal at the Three Broomsticks in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

"It's a torture to need people.”
STEREOPHONIC sums up the collaborative artist experience in one phrase. It's about a band recording a new album in the mid-'70s and contains themes about art, passion & the destructive pursuit of perfection. I recommend the Broadway in Hollywood app's lottery for tix

Same street corner in L.A. What are the odds?

I was having lunch with some friends and this butterfly flew up next to me and landed on a flower. He sort of hung out there until I could get a pic, and he actually stayed much longer, just adding "also butterfly" to the beautiful day.
Seemed like a good day to post this.

The holiday season is not only the time for giving, but apparently also the time for total nonsense as ELVIS came back from the dead last night to lay waste to the huge crowd at The HaHa Comedy Club. What a crowd for the Heather Stewart & Leah Finkelstein Family Christmas Show! Thanks for having me.

I don't wanna say that you might see Elvis Preston, or Santa Presley, or whatever you wanna call him, make an appearance in this show, but...
...wait, that's actually EXACTLY why I logged online, to tell you that. No holiday is complete without the King, baby!
Live comedy show tomorrow night!

Another crazy Christmas shindig! Been dying to get to the Tujunga Village Block Party for years. This year I didn't have any work. So, they may turn the utilities off at my house but what a fun night!
The night ended as I'm going to have more nights end in the future - free jazz music at Vitello's.

That's a wrap on my Disneyland annual pass. It was a damn fine year! Had to get one look at the park with holiday décor before I put a bow on it. The sights & sounds are awesome, but the whole place is just an excuse to hang with good people.
It snowed on Main St. and that's straight-up Disney magic

More Christmas shenanigans last weekend with The Toluca Lake Holiday Open House. I go to all of these so if you wanna hit the Downtown Burbank Winter Arts Festival this weekend, let me know!
They don't shut down the main road like they do at other fests, but the people COME. OUT.

Tonight at 6PM I'm part of this show "featuring comedians you have seen on television"! I have between now and 6PM to get on television.

Another beautiful full moon hike last night in Burbank! I love how the Hollywood Hills look like an island in the sea of lights. This isn't exactly E.T.'s view, but it's still pretty damn Spielbergian.

I've always wanted to see Wang Chung and this was the way to see them - playing the TO LIVE AND DIE IN LA soundtrack in it's entirety! After living here for 25 years, I'd never been to The Belasco Theatre before and if there's a band/act/etc. playing there - GO, it's a really intimate venue.

The Broadway musical SUFFS is having an all-too-short run at Pantages Theatre (closes Sunday). We loved it! I wasn't aware how far beyond legislation the fight for a woman's right to vote went. The voices were stellar, no surprise the show won Tonys for book & score. Plus, this theatre is stunning!

High-end restaurant or stage play? BOTH! If you want a good time in the theatre, I recommend TABLE 17 at the Geffen Playhouse. A couple reunites after their engagement crumbled & a lot of dirt gets spilled. It's funny, relatable, and they encourage your opinion from your seat which, somehow worked!

Every once in a while, I do stand-up comedy. This is one of those times! Excited to share a bill with the great Karen Rontowski, and if you're thinking, "Grand Slam Comedy? Where is this - a Denny's?" - you'd be right! And much like Denny's low prices, this show is free. One week from tomorrow!

Thanksgiving Eve was spent discovering the true meaning of the holidays - ERASERHEAD! It was a well-timed screening of a movie featuring a squirming roasted bird discharging...something. At least I didn't see it the SAME day I ate a huge meal. I'd seen it before but never on the big screen!

Colorful pics from this year's Thanksgiving. New this year - Penguin Crackers! Ritz w/olives, sour cream and carrots - easy peasy and adorable. Not pictured - Adam Witt. He TAKES a lot of pics and forgets to be IN them!

The Burbank Wine Walk was last weekend, another must-do holiday event with an aDORable community vibe. Lots of artists, vendors, etc. line a closed-down San Fernando Blvd. + food + music + other nonsense. I love it! Burbank. Small town in the big city.
November 25, 2025 at 9:50 PM
I made it back to Holiday in the Park! Surgery kept me from going last year. Stupid surgery. This year's street fest was great! More are coming up if you wanna get outside and DO STUFF:
12/5 - Toluca Lake Holiday Open House
12/6 - Tujunga Village Holiday Block Party
All free!

A lot of talk goes down at this table at The Two Roads Theatre in Tujunga Village. Congrats to my buddy Bill for directing THINGS WE SAID TONIGHT, whose last show is today! A conservative politician meets a liberal playwright and it gets...complicated. Congrats, Bill!

Prepare for an onslaught of pics as holiday events ramp up in L.A.! I'll go anywhere they're up to nonsense like this. Last night was a tree lighting downtown at the legendary art deco wonder Union Station. They really made the police station from BLADE RUNNER a joyous place of holiday merriment!
