A bit slow on the draw, but our manuscript phenotyping multiple sclerosis patients before and after anti-CD20 treatment is out in JCI! Using scRNAseq we show that there is a myeloid expansion in both blood and CSF. In blood there's a ubiquitous TNF-NFkB signature and monocytes make more TNF post-Tx

I have a dumb question for the #immunosky crowd: in human surface expression of HLA-DR is often tracked by flow cytometry as a marker of activation. Why specifically HLA-DR? Why not another class II gene? Is it just that we have good flow antibody clones for DR but not the others?
