It's not fitting, because it's very narrow minded to assume somebody is averse to change just because they don't like a particular change, regardless of whether or not you think it's for the better.

Additionally, in response to your earlier comment about linearity, Prime is not linear at all. In fact it's just as or even more open ended than the 2D games. I think you're doing yourself a disservice by writing these games off without giving them a chance. I think you would really like them.

You haven't actually played Prime then I guess. There is much verticality to it, lots and lots of platforming just like super Metroid. I suggest looking into something before commenting about it.

Metroid is mostly about solitary exploration of an alien world. Prime is exactly like super Metroid, only 3D and in first person. Idk how you don't see that.

I think they're talking about the Prime series specifically. Other M came out in 2010 also.

Great interview. Ironically I believe saving the games industry involves getting rid of guys like him.
