Curious. When we had curated albeit slanted news there were some checks and balances in place rarely would there be pants on fire lies in the press.
Now, baseless information presents as truth.
Today there's rarely an ombudsman and any serious fact checkers.

Agreed. I'm completely for it, with the caveat that the person is cognizant and clearheaded about it. Which can be tricky to determine sometimes.
