I just made chili so my hands smell like spices, and this jack hole has decided that my hand is a chew toy. I'm reminded of this video I saw of zoo keepers using spices as enrichment for big cats and they went nuts for oregano. House cats aren't much different than lions, I guess. #catsofbluesky

This gromp has a broken pelvis and broken femoral head. He's in a crate to heal for the past few weeks has x rays in another couple of weeks. He yowls at our cats through the crate and is completely disgusted by our dogs.

I have discovered that the correct number of churu needed to bribe a scared new cat into coming out of hiding in the basement and loving you is 7.
Excellent progress.
I expect some regression after this cuddle fest, but maybe tomorrow I will only need 6 tubes.

I'm listening to this book and until a moment ago I wasn't quite sure I was going to stick it out to the end.
What won me over, was the writer's dialogue for the dogs in the book.
For some reason an anthropomorphic pony was almost a bridge too far, but not a pitbull or Australian cattle dog 😂

Most of the time I strongly suspect that I'm a giant asshole, but then I foster a cat who has no reason to trust anybody, and somehow they start to trust me. Broken cats don't come around easily, therefore, I must just be a normal sized asshole 🤷.

Today I learned that I've never bought a half gallon box of ice cream for my kids. Only the tub style. It blew my young teenager's mind that it doesn't just melt out the sides, and that the ice cream is the same exact shape as the box.
