pt3: DEI was NOT a quota system or a dumbing down of required qualifications. To think that America has even been a purely merit based system is to be blind to the realities of hiring.

pt 2: I saw DEI as 1) educating people on their implicit bias (which we all have) and teaching how to recognize when you let it impact your decisions & thoughts & 2) opening the aperture when hiring or promoting to see all the qualified people, then choose on the merits.

Pt 1: The MAGA mantra of blaming all things on DEI and equating DEI with unqualified hires is happening, ramping up, & ridiculous.
The best teams I worked with were diverse teams...bringing different thoughts, perspectives and approaches to problems.
Our diversity is our strength...not a weakness.
