George Washington once said “The government is the servant of the people.”Power is only legitimate when it serves the common good.

If power serves ambition over consent, we fail posterity. America needs deliberate planning, accountability and leadership that governs for the future not the moment.

Government rules by consent more than force.
Belief makes laws light; disbelief makes them heavy.
As trust thins and legitimacy fractures, government still works—but at a rising cost. Enforcement grows louder. Explanation grows thinner. Stability feels borrowed.
This is a new terrain for our polity.

Should a U.S. official in any administration be allowed to meet with a foreign government and rely solely on that government’s interpreters for language translation? Questions of the legality of such an act aside, is it a wise approach to any form of diplomatic engagement?

If a state loses federal funding through program cuts, could it—under the Tenth Amendment—legally restructure its tax system (using credits, trusts, or revenue shifts) to reduce its federal tax base and offset costs without violating the Supremacy Clause? (Be Civil)
