I still visit the Kimball books to refresh my memory. The term star schema seems to have replaced dimensional modeling. Maybe we should ask conferences to start letting us do sessions on it.

What we have found confusing is when artifacts already deployed gets change at the workspace level and we have to re-sync to Repo

Please remember, any materialized views come at a cost. The more you add, the slower writes to underlying tables get
