Reading the Partisanship on the DHS website is disturbing and I thank you for highlighting it to my attention.
It is so much worse than I realized.
Ad Fontes is great BTW. They analyze news sources. I used to care about bias now I’m try to only read sources in or near the top accuracy row.

-WaPo reported this incident accurately.
-DHS was deliberately inaccurate claiming WaPo targeted the school
And that:
ICE actually did target this school employee just not on the front steps of the building.
WaPo= accurate
DHS= heavily biased

Was the attempt to engage the woman random and thus based on skin color?
Or
Was ICE targeting her on the way to the school? Which I guess is slightly different than targeting a school directly…..

So it seems like the Washington Post article is accurate?
It never said anything about the school being targeted. I’ve looked repeatedly. If it’s there I don’t see it.
The article mentions the whole incident including her fleeing.

And for the record the DHS calls her a “daycare worker” and Alderman Martin said “School officials showed agents the teacher’s employment documents, including a work permit,”. The DHS doesn’t seem overly concerned about her title they want it known they didn’t target a school, which is not claimed.

Is the debate really over whether a day care worker can be referred to as a teacher? That seems to be missing the point.
