Democratizing & Depolarizing the political conversation
November 20, 2025 at 5:41 PM
So the idea that “Democrats did nothing” ignores:

a) a slow, tangled legal system
b) ongoing investigations
c) powerful people on both sides with every incentive to stall

Which brings us to now:

Both the House and Senate passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act, forcing release.

Democrats pushed harder after Trump’s name appeared in the email records.

The 2024 partial release people cite, wasn’t a White House choice.

A judge ordered it , and most of those files weren’t under presidential control anyway.

So why not release them after 2023? 🤷‍♀️

Simple politics.

No president wants a media firestorm that implicates elites across BOTH parties.

And Congress didn’t have the votes to force disclosure.

The DOJ resisted releasing files, saying it was “due to an ongoing investigation.”

Important: that’s not a legal prohibition — it’s a tradition meant to protect cases.

This applied until early 2023.

Fast-forward to 2020, right after Epstein’s arrest and “suicide.”

When Biden came in, his DOJ shifted priorities:

➡️ Prosecute associates
➡️ Secure convictions (starting with Ghislaine Maxwell)

Back in 2011, during the Obama years, a few Democrats in Congress DID question the 2008 immunity deal negotiated under Bush.

They pushed the DOJ to review it.

But the deal was already locked in 🔒

Nothing moved for years.

Roll the vote and release the Epstein Files
November 11, 2025 at 9:09 PM
How come I never thought of that? 🫠

Trump: he wouldn’t have dared.
Putin: here, hold my vodka.
