Read a book!
Once.
Can't stop now!
Tried abstinence, but life was not worth living.
Tried substitution, but was unsatisfied.
Tried moderation, but ache for more.
Have to watch out for bingeing - drains me.
So avoid temptation, by not keeping many at home!
#GVBR, day 4:
Loop day, from Port Campbell, but I bailed.
Weather has settled, but some wind.
People are dry & happier.
Some left ASAP, to get back early & enjoy the town; some enjoyed a break.
Staff enjoyed the change.
Great breakfast - not sure about lunch? Food is always nourishing & substantial.

#GVBR, day 2:
Koroit loop day.
Warm day.
Cyclists rolled out to explore Port Fairy.
Many happy to be moving.
A bit breezy to start.
Image shows some tents - things are getting busier!
Porridge to start us off.
I went on to Port Campbell to prepare! Also negotiated with campsite staff re access, etc.

#GVBR day 1:
Mortlake- Koroit.
Started cool, warmed up. Cyclists had tailwind.
With ~1900 cyclists & vollies, town is sharing the joy, with welcome hospitality - so much to see & do.
Great town, with engaging stories - being here is a welcome change.
History is what you make of it!
Campsite awaits!

Lunch at Brim CC's (thecitylane.com/brim-cc-melb...).
Another wonderful meal.

2/
#GVBR tents at Wangaratta, with the flooded paths in the foreground. There was a surprising amount of rainy days - not as many as last year, apparently. But enough for some riders to decide that being wet detracted from the pleasures of riding - after all, there was no 'singing in the rain' vibe!
