A nurse earning $80K pays Social Security tax on every dollar of her income. A CEO earning $30 million pays the same flat amount as someone making $176K — and nothing on the remaining $29.8 million. The effective rate for that CEO? Just 0.04 percent.

Hey @aipac1.bsky.social , Massachusetts's 4th Congressional District includes 35 municipalities. That's Brookline and Newton — but also Fall River, the largest city in the district, along with Taunton, Attleboro, and dozens of working-class communities you seem to have forgotten exist.

I've always been opposed to regime-change wars. In Dec. 2002, as a junior in high school, I wrote an op-ed in my local paper opposing the invasion of Iraq. The Bush admin.'s case for war was transparently dishonest, and I could see it even as a 16-year-old.

AI that works for us means that workers share in productivity gains. That requires Universal Basic Income funded by corporate automation taxes, worker councils with real power over deployment decisions, and strong collective bargaining rights.
