If that's the case, and it is, then I am still very hurt by my past experiences. to be honest, I thought I was mostly healed, but as it turns out, the trauma of being rejected by people who are supposed to love me still smoulders like hot embers, insulated by the ashes of my life after it burned to the ground time and time again. What rises from these ashes is not a phoenix - reborn to live again - but a demon whose sole purpose is to whisper lies into my ears. these lies, over time, turn into impossible-two-confirm truths. truths that fester in the forefront of my brain constantly flooded with anxiety and other intrusive thoughts - the life blood of the demon itself - turning what l actually know to be true into rumors. mere figments of my imagination. The people who care for me become the enemy. I was recently unable to keep my rejection, sensitivity demon in check and made the terrible mistake of accusing someone I love and care about deeply of abandoning me because they thought I was too much. I accused them of thinking I was a burden. I couldn't have been more wrong. Instead of looking objectively at all the facts presented to me over the past several months, I instead decided the embers of trauma needed stoking - that the demon needed to play its part and protect me from even more damage. But the demon only knows how to do one thing: burn it all to the ground. and it doesn't care if my life or anyone else's catches fire in the process. if you're reading this - you know who you are - please know that I am extremely sorry for how l acted and how I treated your love and care with total disrespect. I understand the limitations you have and the boundaries you put in place and I will always regret the way I dismissed them in favour of protecting myself. I will always regret the wedge l've undoubtedly driven between us. You made me feel seen and loved and affirmed in how I feel about myself and there is little hope that I will be able to forgive myself for taking those feelings for granted. I love you. I will always love you. despite how you may feel about me now, I will always cherish our time spent together and how you made me feel during it. I know, and truly believe that the feelings you expressed about me were authentic, and I understand how I put them into jeopardy by pushing you away when in reality, all I wanted was to remain in your life in any capacity you would have me. I know I fucked up really bad. I know I am not deserving of your forgiveness but please believe me when I say I am so very sorry. -Potzer

when i was scrolling i saw this before fun’s post and immediately i thought

it’s been a year since we started this and the lines for this piece are so thick we only just finished below the knee today. probably two or three more sessions to finish the thigh and then on to actual shading
