Accomplishment has to come from somewhere, especially trusting the process (getting old is it)

Set yourself tiny goals on something specific that you want to tackle. One by one, you build yourself the skillset over time. This is regardless of how hard it seemingly is, just know you will get there.

I went through this exact thing, my expectations for myself skyrocketed. I gave up all together to be the "great artist" and draw whatever the fuck I want. Bad or dogshit it doesn't matter, I know I will get better the more I keep trying

"Something Special" is something you will naturally develop after you kept going quit the thinking of the "good enough threshold."

I feel that chasing the "special" aspect head first is already making this harder for yourself.

Being an artist has no real "good enough". What brings you there in the first place is to trust your own process. Don't judge an unbaked cake, every piece is a learning experience
