Thank you so much for sharing this and your thoughts on the matter-I really agree that it’s not too late to fight. I love the community, the resources, the knowledge- we shouldn’t have to lose that because of big tech and capitalism.

And I totally understand just not wanting to upload at this point since I’ve kind of done the same. I’m still going out and getting pictures of species but they’re just… sitting in my phone now. I really hope iNat sees the error and rolls back but if not, hopefully an alternative will come alone.

I really appreciate the sentiment and everything, thank you. My area, even though I’m in California, is so underrepresented when it comes to invertebrate observations/info in general that I’ve really found a niche I could contribute to through iNat- so yeah I’m definitely feeling the loss.
