Who hasn’t had a Vonnegut phase? Made us who we are.
So my examples would be Murakami, Bolaño, and Danielewski. Murakami more so than the others. Kafka on the shore is one of my favorites by him.

Ah!!! I haven’t heard anyone talk about Vivian Maier in years!! I think she is in my top. Irving Penn has always intrigued me, bringing psychological depth to his shots by capturing the latent discomfort of being backed into a corner.

Yeesss! Natural light is the best at times because it’s so strong and can be naturally diffused with clouds, it’s just difficult to manipulate and you’re subject to the weather. I miss having a studio, that must have been nice!

It is true! That’s the difficulty with studio photography, capturing the genuine in a controlled environment.
