I can’t stand him, but he does have a medical condition that causes his voice to sound the way it does.

Our daughter is working on her doctorate in child psychology because she loves kids and wants to help them. But for the reasons you mentioned, she doesn’t want children either.

Our daughter is going through the same thing. She’s in grad school, too and is like me - always reading. It’s been hard to find time between her clinical placement, classes and research to actually read for pleasure. I told her that even 20 minutes of reading before bed will help her unwind.
