that’s interesting… as a current student it’s something i tend to see more in lower division/writing courses, but i’ve heard the phd students i know complain about the same issue in the science classes they TA. realizing now that what i see is probably just the tip of the iceberg. very unfortunate.

also, i think i find music written by young people inherently endearing. she was what, 16? 17? when she wrote her album? that probably adds to my opinion of it.

it’s been a while since i watched, but for me the ridiculousness of the nudity/sexuality overshadowed the plot in my memory. so while it could be worse, i think it’s not surprising that the bad parts are all people remember

i wouldn’t feel too bad, i looked it up and it is an exclusively american joke. the uk equivalent is BIDMAS, but the joke relies on a misinterpretation of the concept. i learn something new every day.

you know, like algebra. not sure if it’s the acronym is just an american thing actually now that i think about it.
