Actually when I worked at the derby museum, one time this older couple came in with their grandkids and had said they’d gone to the ark and the creation museum. They were like “do you know anywhere else that would be fun for kids?” and I said in a very friendly manner that one of my favorite places

Science Center to the Kentucky Science Center, and my mom says she thinks they did it because of the Ark encounter and the creation museum opening up. So they could be like “see! Some of us here believe in science!”

Ohhh that’s still neat! I’m from St. Louis, and our City Museum is a must visit for both kids and adults. I’d love to go again but I can’t imagine my joints and bones will have a great time climbing on shit. And even here, the science center is pretty good. They changed its name from the Louisville

Idk how I missed this but that’s cute! The derby museum had plenty of those, as well as Breyer horse Christmas ornaments. One of my favorite things I got from there (gotta love that employee discount) was and still is my Secretariat plush

I can’t tell if the one on the left is a giant ground sloth of one of the prehistoric short faced bears but I think it’s the second one
