FACT: PET bottles have a lower environmental impact than aluminum and glass.  MYTH: PET bottles are the most common form of litter. FACT: Cigarettes are actually the world's leading form of litter.  MYTH: I'm contributing to ocean debris when I use a PET bottle. FACT: PET is made to be remade; it can be recycled over and over again.  MYTH: PET bottles in landfills can leach into water and contaminate it. FACT: PET bottles are chemically inert; they pose no risk of leaching.  MYTH: BPA is present in plastic water bottles.
