Climate chaos is here. Extinction? Right around the corner. I study social psychology and put a positive spin on our impending doom. 💛

Gates owns approximately
275,000 acres of farmland across 19 states in the US, making him the largest private owner of farmland in the country. Insane tariffs will bankrupt farmers so billionaires can acquire foreclosed farmland— owning our entire food systems. It's a cla$$ war. Connect the dots. 💛

What's being expressed isn't misanthropy—it's moral anguish over an uncomfortable truth. Dismissing the question as 'hating humanity' misses the point entirely. The recognition of our impending end hurts precisely because it comes from empathy, not from its absence. 💛

The Compassionate Case for Extinction: May We Rest in Peace
I've come to believe that the end of sentient life on earth is not be a bad thing. And not only is it not a bad thing, it is a good thing.

Was a Doomer. Now I'm a Doomee. The Doomee perspective acknowledges the same reality (WASF) but transforms how we relate to it. No need to build community or save the world. You just need to ask yourself "How can I reduce suffering right now, in this moment?" 💛

From Doomer to Doomee: Same Doom, Better View

With the analysis, I've included responses to probable objections as well as a massive bibliography for anyone who would like to do their own research. Again, this is for the collapse-aware. I ain't tryin' to spread the word. Read my "Bell Ringer's Dilemma" essay for more on why mum's the word. 💛

Right? Ben Franklin, chastising himself for a lapse in his vegetarian ethic, wrote "So convenient a thing it is to be a reasonable creature, since it enables one to... make a reason for every thing one has a mind to do." We're funny animals. But not hilarious. Thanks for connecting and caring too! 💛

"Our role becomes... being present with frameworks, support, and companionship for those who find their way to collapse awareness. This shifts the central question from 'Should we wake people up?' to 'How do we cultivate our ability to care during collapse, whatever form it takes?'" 💛

"The bell will ring on its own. Our systems are failing visibly. People are starting to notice that something is deeply wrong. Our job isn't to be the alarm—it's to be the ones with blankets and hot tea when people stumble out into the cold dawn of awareness." 💛

"When we dump this same information on unprepared minds, we're essentially conducting trauma exposure without consent or support systems. The result is often not enlightenment but psychological damage—anxiety, depression, panic, and sometimes destructive behavior." 💛

"Every person we 'wake up' serves as validation that we're not delusional. Each new member of the collapse-aware community is proof that our assessment of reality is accurate. We're not trying to help them see the truth—we're trying to help ourselves believe we're still sane." 💛

"We are the first generation forced to confront mortality on every level at once—personal, cultural, species-wide, even planetary. Climate denialism isn't primarily about rejecting data—it's about defending our immortality projects against their ultimate threat." Read my latest. And hug your loves.💛

Will you spend your remaining awareness hiding from reality, or present with it? Neither choice will save the world. But one of them is what consciousness looks like when it chooses itself. One of them leaves you alive and awake, if not for yourself, then to help those around you. 💛

This isn't about avoiding the pain of reality or drowning in it, but about finding a way to stay awake in hell without being consumed by the flames. 💛

Mass dissociation represents a form of collective suicide—not of the body, but of consciousness itself. We're becoming absent from our own lives, our own world, our own historical moment. Physically present but experientially elsewhere. Breathing but not really alive. 💛
