Oilers, Elks, sunshine and lollipops.
Is it too much to ask for meaningful Oilers and Elks win on same day? Feels like it has been a long time!

On the one hand I want to see a CAN USA final at Four Nations. On the other hand I want Finland to win this game and Canada and Sweden when they play USA….so the logic does not quite work.

I have a new appreciation for Crosby after that brilliant pass. What a game for Sid the Kid.

Crosby would look good on the Oilers.

The game has not started yet, but already it does not feel like just an all star game. I endorse booing Sweden anyone who is not Canadian, but only tournament related. USA should not take it personally when their turn.

I was relieved when i saw Skinner was not on ice for goal against with his line and super happy when he scored the goal. I can’t help it, I am cheering for him like Brown last year. Skinner could still score 20 this year.

Looks like Skinner has been standing on his head.

If you would have told me that we would have a “fourth” line of Perry, Skinner and Henrique a few years ago, i would have told you that the numbers don’t add up. I get why Skinner has been faded by Knobby (justly so) but I am rooting for him to be valuable contributor in playoffs.

Looked into Jeff Skinner's struggles this season, and why his ice time has been reduced.

Comes down to his productivity and how the Oilers see their rate of shots against go up when he's on the ice. Details here:

Love all the Oilers love, but Jeff Skinner seems to be on the outs. Podkolzin is playing well, but Skinner has more goals and a shorter leash it seems and i am not sure why. Is he not playing the system to Knoblauch’s liking?
