And if he was a horse he'd be performing a useful function and glueing some things together.

But he is Right wing. And he's a shit. Tory/Labour is just a shift change these days. Just a different variety of cruelty and incompetence.

We get what someone else - in the form of donations or threats - has paid for. Then we get to pay for it with years of captured government.

This cannot be said often enough. And not just about Council SEND spending.

An inability or refusal to accept criticism or responsibility is a sign of several significant personality disorders. It seems many of our MPs and all of our major parties are sufferers.

And we know MP as a profession is are among the highest scorers on the Hare scale.

Plus Labour have been utter pants at telling people what they've done. For sure, media hasn't helped. There's an obvious entitlement, ignorance and arrogance about their responses to sometimes deserved criticism.

Giving the impression "I'm better than you. Shut up" doesn't sell well.

If you need a reason for press antipathy, Starmer was front and centre during the trials over phone hacking and resentment from that still exists.

Then add the 'natural' bias of publications funded at a loss by billionaires for influence and I think you have at least a partial explanation.

He has fans? I mean, apart from himself?
February 6, 2026 at 11:31 AM
I think we can be fairly certain that MI6 already know all about it...
February 2, 2026 at 10:25 PM
"Get the President a stool. Oh wait, no need. He already provided one."
February 2, 2026 at 3:19 AM
No anger against Thatcher who closed most of the assylums. No anger against May who stoked migration fears. No anger against successive Tory governments who put in place a system designed to both fail and funnel money to their donors.

She's right that few senior politicians give a toss though.

An alternative reading would be;

"Labour MPs unwilling to do any work that they don't benefit from and ask, 'What's in it for me?'."

Ah, those selfless Blue Labour folk.
January 31, 2026 at 12:31 PM
So the police are crap at their jobs? Well colour me surprised - anyone could have told you that.

Being crap at your job doesn't mean anything other than you are crap at your job. But it is a convenient hook to hang a fall guy on.
January 16, 2026 at 10:27 PM
Seems all those things are the opposite of 'mutually exclusive'.
January 16, 2026 at 10:24 PM
You know, the usual. The man's an empty suit with a plastic grin.

In today's world of instant gratification and shallow success he's done well for a low-rent racist grifter. As long as he has mates in the media I've no doubt that will continue.
January 13, 2026 at 12:56 PM
I doubt he has much to worry about. He's never in his constituency so why would anyone expect him to be in the country should he get into No. 10?

He'll fop off on some speaking tour or other, travel the world telling other nations how shit we are and how much worse their future will be.
January 13, 2026 at 12:56 PM
Well then I forsee a rise in knifings and a significant casualty rate among Farage's 'New Protectors'.

People like Tommy Ten Names would love to see it but I doubt they'd like the outcome. This kind of shit has been tried once or twice on UK streets before, with no success.
January 13, 2026 at 12:46 PM
I'm not so sure. Nothing can survive for long in a vacuum.

This is probably the creation of some 18 year old intern doing a job for nowt while being supported by a 'daddy' of some description.
January 12, 2026 at 9:00 PM
'Give them what they deserve'?

That's not legal, surely? I know you can legally shoot vermin but there might be an issue when the target is wearing a rosette.
January 12, 2026 at 8:57 PM
I'm all for it. Someone start a petition so this can be heard in Parliament.
January 12, 2026 at 8:55 PM
Killers and abusers in service to a foreigh state. Much like the last lot. And headed by a human rights lawyer.

If I presented this as a film script I'd be laughed out of the room.
January 12, 2026 at 8:53 PM
Don't tease me now.
January 12, 2026 at 8:52 PM
My granddaughter is 8 years old and has learning difficulties.

She constructs a better sentence than the leader of the Tory party.
January 12, 2026 at 8:50 PM
'Principled Conservative' = 'wild Haggis'. You can find people saying they exist but nobody has ever seen one.

These people caused untold damage to the UK and its people. I'm still convinced Johnson was and maybe still is a Russian asset. Frankly, most should be in prison for life.
January 12, 2026 at 8:49 PM
I'm in a swing seat so I'll be voting for whoever will keep the light blue Tories out. I'm not that fussy, though I have my preferences.
January 12, 2026 at 8:44 PM
UK media reform is long overdue. Compared with most European media the UK is a cesspit and fully stocked with limited, false or misleading information.

That's not an accident. It's by design. Corbyn was a test and was shown to work. Now Starmer, and Labour are in Uncle Rupert's sights.
