i know right. p2g i’m wrong about this. a lot of their policies and etc seem more geared toward corporate employees but one of the managers said it could be a “conflict of interest” somehow

it’s a tech company. i could almost understand it if i was in software engineering or something but it’s literally retail. the most technical thing i can do is a product demo

Humans are quite habitual by nature, so a few weeks of doing that eventually breaks the habit. Also being your own cheerleader and reminding yourself that you are better in the long run for practicing a little bit of discipline in the moment can go a long way. Future you will be proud.

For example, I use to bite nails bad. When I told myself I wanted to stop, the next time I bit my nails I would observe what caused that and focus on being mindful the next time it happens. Eventually, the habit of checking in with yourself over the behavior makes you way more aware of it.
