Totally get it if it's not your speed though. I'm a relatively new listener so forgive me if you've covered these before, but might i recommend Land of the Lustrous from the Beastars studio, or the food-anime-with-government-espionage ACCA 13? The current season has been pretty dry for me as well

MyGo is somewhat more dramatic as you said, though, and Ave Mujica even more so. There's nothing crazy like birdie wing, it's pretty grounded, but things keep escalating with each ep and it's been pretty fun watching all these messy characters clash as they try to make it to the top.

In defense of the MyGo-GBC comparisons, i'd say there's two main points: 1) MyGo is generally pretty comedic in tone as well, and 2) most of the band members are also kind of selfish little shits who argue all the time (not in public spaces though) but still try to make the band work
