When they announced her as Galinda, I knew she’d do it justice if only because I believed her genuine love for Wicked and her proven work ethic. What we got is so much more. Intensely funny and playful, brilliant vocals, and so movingly real in those essential moments.

I knew her voice could sing the hell out of Elphaba. But what hooks you is the way her eyes convey so much in every single moment. I worry that it will be overlooked because it’s not as flashy but she needs to be a serious Oscar contender.
