climate and geography are the same thing, right? wet, mild winters with little snow, a lot of rain with somewhat drier summers, the main distinguishing factor is that our summers get a little hotter at their peak but it's otherwise quite analogous. odd fixation on state abbreviation for char limits

Charlimits. Also, I’m aware there’s Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and England - all of which is pretty damn lacking in true old growth (over 98 percent of yours is gone). With half our state being literal desert east of the Cascades we still have vast true wild forests.

WA vs Wales. The climate of WA is most comparable to that of Wales than any other area on Earth and under 2 percent of UK forest is older than 1600 vs significant parts of WA having never been harvested, ever. This isn’t even bringing population density into it. Ireland is famously deforested too!

i was going down a rabbithole of obscure E30 m3 liveries because so many of them you can only find photos of as model cars now (herpa el salvador, ProAc in the macau 1992 winning scheme, the '89 macau Mandarina scheme) - and this is the best photo i could find of Kamachi's off facebook/not a toy

today i have learned that the czech ÚAMK (basically equivalent of a combination of AAA and SCCA in the US) raced multiple championships in the communist era during the 80s with BMW E30 M3s and I am going to be absolutely insufferable about it
