Some of these were included at Maryland Art Place in 2013 in a "Regional Juried Exhibition," curated by Kristen Hileman, the Curator of Contemporary Art and Department Head at the Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA). Hileman organized Seeing Now: Photography Since 1960 (2011) and Anne Truitt (2009-10).

That's so cool that you know the dog! Yes it's an older picture I believe I took it in 2016 but it may even have been 2015.

These were kind of inspired by the New Topographics movement and especially Robert Adams, and also the re-photographic landscape projects of the American West.

It was real I get flashbacks lol missing my stop going uptown and walking back from Harlem at 1 am. I'm pretty sure in that period the homicides in the city were above 2,000 it feels like another world.

Steven Izenour, who coauthored "Learning from Las Vegas," had begun a series of studios with university students to explore this area. I used my last batches of Fujifilm instant peel-apart film in a wooden 4×5 field camera for some of the color photos.
