Microbiologist working on Streptococcus pyogenes, #StrepA infection, vaccines, and immunity. PhD. Dog dad.
Is anyone else struggling to find work? I’ve been searching for the last few months, and there’s so few opportunities in my field in and around London, and I can’t just move at the moment. I feel so panicked that if I take a non-science job or if too much time passes, I won’t be able to go back 😵‍💫

This #StrepA paper was a LONG labour of love from a great team 😊 Equal first & senior author credits buried at the very end, so I want to highlight the critical contributions of Dr Hannah Frost & @njmoreland.bsky.social & Dr Danika Hill @precisionvaxlab.bsky.social rdcu.be/d2gBV

Not entirely sure I want to have an online voice these days, but I do love science, ID, and microbiology (especially streps). In the time-tested tradition, here’s a photo of my new puppy, Ranni, as a placeholder while I figure this thing out.
