Current relationship of China with Russia is pretty transactional. Whatever help Russia gets from China is strictly in terms of things like trade and stuff. And even then China doesn't allow to get hit in the wider scope of things - recent machinery ban

Technically Russia can do what they did with India and start trade in Yuan.
The issue is they will only be able to spend these money in China and even with Rupees it didn't work out that well.

Kozak was behind of a lot of pro-russian stuff in the region. I guess he was the one who had an idea about soft power, as opposed to opportunistic land grabs.

I'm pretty sure it happens because developers in Russia (and in Ukraine, tbh) prefer building huge, tall apartment complexes to raise profits per square meter of land. Less floors -- less buyers -- less money per square meter, therefore expensive. Not to mention, low-rises are more comfortable

A lot of stuff in the country is imported. Including food. So when rouble weakens, prices go up, and they go up for consumer goods. So yeah, it is a problem, especially when the majority of Russians spend most of their money on food and clothes.

Wasn't there an economic "law" which basically dictates that at some point people just stop paying taxes and go into black market? This is kinda exactly what happens right now.

Yep. Their propaganda is often based on relying on anti-status-quo people. When everyone is united by the same idea it's really hard to beat, especially if you point out the propaganda efforts.

Heh, moreover, there is a version that Russians were behind the expansion of the 1-on-1 format. It seems like they wanted to put Putin with someone against Trump and Witkoff, but Rubio got in, since at least they needed someone to not fuck things up.

Yeah, originally they wanted to do 1 on 1 and then move to full delegations talks. At the last moment it was changed to 3 on 3 and full delegations didn't meet, probably because Putin didn't agree to anything sufficient.

Wasn't the cost of the license decreased recently from 60k to 20k? When is this change enacted? Perhaps they're figured out they're gonna lose less money if they don't renew the license for 60k (per store I guess) but renew it for 20k a bit later.
