Quietly shouting into voids about film, TV, books and pretty women.
Starting Damascus. Think I might love it already. Also need to catch up on The Vince Staples Show. Wish amazon would revive I'm a Virgo, too.

Wicked City on Tubi is actually a pretty good show. It draws on all the right fantasy tropes, has interesting and layered characters, and I love the lesbian lovers subplots. They touch on a lot of important themes and best of all, all the (important) characters are black (women).

Cutest random sight on the train, a little Eastern European toddler, maybe about 2, enthusiastically 'reading' a picture book titled The Story of Ruby Bridges.

Reading Octavia Butler. Again. This is my second try. I'm not easily perturbed, in fact I enjoy most heinous things - I say that without pride and only as a fact - but she, *she*, disturbs me. Greatly. I'm so unsettled.

Season 2 of Dreaming Whilst Black was even better than the first. Really enjoyed it. Rooting for Kwanessa! Actually the storyline I love most in the show!

Weapons was an hour and two POVs too long. Jesus. Real dull viewing and the underlying premise was flimsy.

GIDDY! must analyse why. Feels like that very first dose of Sertraline. Wired as shit. But, like, in a good way.

One of the things I hate most in movies is having a white protagonist in a car scene rapping the lyrics to a 90s hip-hop/rap song with "gangsta" hand gestures and facial expressions. It's so cringe. Hate it.

Why did they remake War of the Worlds? Why did they do it in this way? And who was there like: 'you know what, Ice Cube will be great for this!' I'm offended on Tom's behalf.

There's a category of actors whose films I always watch and enjoy even if the film isn't good and I dont know how to describe them:
Anna Kendrick
Arnold Schwanegger
John Cena
Jason Statham
Jack Black
Do you get it?

My pet peeve in movies is where they pit an East Asian actor who is clearly a real life martial arts expert against a random hench white actor who is so obviously performing fight choreography I can count it and expects me to be convinced that its an even match and I should anticipate the outcome.

The WhatsApp privacy ad is funny because while they keep saying they can't read or view the messages or media sent, they inadvertently communicated that they can see everything you're doing through the front facing camera while you use the app. And the brazeness of that made me chuckle.

I cant remember if he became a problem or not - i wouldnt be surprised because MAGA America - but I was such a big fan of Arnie Schwarts' movies as a kid. He was the blueprint for John Cena and The Rock.

K-Pop Demon Hunters bangs. Animation, music, character arcs, storyline, character design. Really enjoyed it.

So many beautiful macabre details in The Sandman that I missed the first time. Looking forward to the new season. I want more of Death. I love Kirby Howell-Baptiste.

Diana Ross's concert was so much fun. Didn't realise how many of her songs I knew. She's still got it, I applaud her to still be giving a full show (costume changes and all) at 81. It was a really, really good night. Crowd were shit but me and mine had a blast! Worth every penny we didn't pay.

Watched 28 Days Later and at the end, credits rolling, I realised I had seen it. Now watching 28 Weeks Later. Definitely haven't seen this one. No clue Idris was in it and realised I've been confusing this franchise with the vampire one starring Josh Harnett.

Google really be blocking all the search results. Crazy how easily I could get all the info I needed just by switching browser.

Now it's a bit like, well how do I move browsers seamlessly. The whole passwords saved to browser thing is a big inconvenience

Was researching a controversial topic and tried the Duck Duck Go browser and it was so much better because Google was giving zero helpful results.

Restarted The Gilded Ones, didn't realise the main character was supposed to be mixed race the first time i read it. Is it just me that missed that?
Also the audible narration isn't enjoyable and there are chunks of text in the book that are missing from the audible! Never experienced this before?!

Time Bandits on Apple is incredibly enjoyable. I could take or leave Lisa Kudrow tbh, but it's the kind of smart slapstick-esque vibe I get from Mythic Quest (which took me a beat to get into). Also really enjoyed WondLa

Think this latest bout of suicidal ideations has finally come to an end. Fucking hell it's been a long ass few months. The absolute absurdity of your own mind trying to kill you lol not out of the woods but definitely through the trees.

I really love Cynthia's new album. Like, LOVE it. It is an auditory delight, but it's also resonating in very unexpected ways and my therapist is now going to have her own homework because all my conceptual references are going to be from Wicked and I Forgive You for the foreseeable future.
