It’s going to take mass hunger to do it, I fear. Or maybe the State deciding to restrict access to the Internet and somehow shutting down VPNs. As long as people have a way to distract themselves from the problem, they’ll be able to pretend it isn’t actually bad enough to act.

If they outright blocked you, you’ll become effectively invisible to each other. If they just muted you then you’ll still be able to interact with them but they won’t see such interactions.
