A neighborhood hawk visited us on our walk this morning. My little dog probably looked delicious, but there was bigger prey nearby. (Hawk, you don’t stand a chance capturing that monster bunny!)

A flock of vultures is haunting the neighborhood and settling in backyard trees.These few lurked in the branches after 10-15 others rose eerily into the sky to hunt for corpses. I’m undecided what type of meme or caption to write: ironic, political, humorous, informative, or existential. All apply.

Pictures from a reddit post in August 2023. This is a set of Before and After views. (Before) Maltese-Shitzu mix puppy on a grooming table with wild, long fur sticking out in every direction. The grooming brush next to it is almost as big as the puppy! (After) This is the same puppy after being groomed. It has a comically cute haircut, with its body and head shaved in a smooth, close cut. The lack of fluffy fur accentuates the puppy's huge round eyes and reveals that its legs are tiny, not even as wide as one of the human fingers steadying the puppy. The puppy's ears, which naturally prop up and flop over to each side, are left full and bushy; as a result, the dog appears to have pig tails (pony tails on both sides of the head).
