I will say this, though - for the decades that I have been making art, there is always something that brings it back. I try to be kind to myself in the down times like this so that I can be ready when it returns, and I am certain it always will.

I unfortunately don't have much to offer in terms of advice, but I can offer solidarity and understanding, because I have been in the same general malaise, too. I am trying to treat it with the tenderness and respect it deserves, but some days I only have enough bandwidth for the most basic tasks.

That book is a good recommendation. I’ve given a bunch of copies away over the years.
