THANK YOU for taking the time to reply so thoroughly, it is extremely appreciated. i think you nailed it with regards to working for a game studio. love my job but it's pretty hard to spend 8 hours a day in Unity for someone else and then come home and want to open it up again for my own project🙃.

i guess my point: advice on navigating that need to pay rent when you aren't able to fully focus on your own development? id love to apply for grants/publisher help but my shit is always in janky prototype states and i get down on myself

idk if this is more of a dm/whole conversation but: incredibly impressed by your game. i'm a solo dev who thankfully has a good day job but struggle to find the time/energy to work on my own stuff and often feel crushed by needing to survive when i just want to run thru the fields naked and queer
