It was written to have some connection with western audiences. But the Dokkaebi are more like the Oni in Japan, originating as nature spirits, and not always malevolent. The writers did throw some "good vs evil" framing in, though even that was subverted at the end.

It's not even the right mythology. There's no "Satan" in that story. Just Gwi-Ma, the most powerful of the dokkaebi. And I don't think that song was ever a big hit with the kids.

The "president's" tariffs are not a "signature policy." They are a violation of constitutional separation of powers. Ditto for blowing up boats and ordering the DOJ to investigate his detractors.

It's a fine thing to see, but I wouldn't mind if HER base of support shattered into a million pieces. The fact that someone like her can win an election is a symptom of a virulent pathology.

Here in Texas, if you want to pay SLIGHTLY LESS outrageous rates for electricity, then every six months you have to haggle with power companies over all the bullshit convoluted plans. You don't get the luxury of just paying a bill and having the lights turn on (and you still live with blackouts).
