ICE is not the police. They are a private army for the President that did not exist until 9/11. They are corrupt and they are completely unaccountable. I will not back down off that messaging. They need to be abolished. My father was a cop for 30 years, they are not the same.

I don't want this either but I'm done shying away from it because like you said, this is where we are. We can either do nothing or fight in whatever way we are capable. I'm glad to have you fighting with me. We will rebuild our both our shattered country and hearts.

We're already in the war, it's just a cold war right now and is occurring online and breaking out in random acts of political violence. We aren't driving this car, the regime is, and they are the ones that want to drive it over the cliff. Not much we can do to stop them. Accepting that is hard.

We aren't holding on to anyone at this point. SCOTUS had made sure of that. When the president can do whatever he wants without needing to worry about legal repercussions you've already lost the very thing you are trying to cling to. We have a King they just call it the unitary executive theory.

Personalities might be irrelevant, the oppression that has been ongoing since the first draft of the Constitution is not.
I don't want to simply save what we had, it was not working for most of us, I want to reform it and that conversation must be had now.
