This person did not read Calvin and Hobbes. Have this wretched scum remove that profile picture immediately.

I saw in in the theaters when it came out. Maybe 11 years old. I sat in stunned silence. Like the first time I watched Watership Down as a child when it aired on television.

It remains one of the most memorable experiences and happiest moments of my life.

I have lost a lot of things. I have sold a lot of things I loved.

I still have that ball. And I will always love Ryno.

Before he could do anything, I was swarmed and knocked away by adults wanting autographs. I managed to get right behind him. I don’t remember what I said, but right before he got on the bus, he reached his hand behind him, and I quickly gave him my ball and pen.

.

I had my ball and a pen in hand, and I was one of the first around. My mom and her friend stood not far off waiting. I was the first person Ryne saw when he exited the building and I yelled something stupid like, “I love you Mr. Sandberg! Please sign my ball

I brought along a baseball in hopes of meeting my hero. I cannot remember the game, but I remember Ryno hit a homerun his first at bat. It was a late game so it must have been 11 p.m. when we went outside and stood near where the Chicago players would be exiting to get on their bus.

I guess I talked about him constantly, so my mom surprised me with a trip to see the Cubs play Houston at the Astrodome. She and her friend, Margie, drove us to Houston. I remember listening to Bruce Springsteen’s new album, Born in the USA, and some Van Halen for much of the 5-hour trip.

I truly loved Ryne Sandberg. He felt like the brother I never had … I loved him that much.

I watched the game live when Ryne Sandberg pulled out his Superman cape and helped win a game against the Cardinals in the summer of 1984, knocking in two homers to tie the game in the 9th and 10th innings.

Plus, there was this cool, young, second baseman who would quickly become my favorite player.

I am shocked these dipshits who have no experience in their fields have no clue what they are doing. Have they tried googling some helpful videos?
