Yeah it might be a decent middleground but not a perfect abstraction e.g. it doesn't prevent adding two points together since they are both implicitly converted to vectors.

But if you want to be strict about it, why do you allow the implicit conversion from point to vector given by the inheritance? Is that desired?

I imagine you'd run into a similar perf cliff on RDNA 2&3 as @zeux.io did in his Niagara Vk stream. Would be interesting to find out.
