@merriam-webster.com I’ve seen many writers use “revert” as a synonym for “respond” or “reply”. I can find no dictionary, M-W included, that reports this usage. Should it be added, or where did this odd deviation come from?

I’m not sure if the guy sitting next to us at The Odeon bar was Paul Mescal or the love child of Paul Mescal and Timothée Chalamet, but I’m pretty certain he was one of them.

Why was the Secret Service trying to enter a Chicago school? If you are not responsible for a student, not related to someone on the staff, nor involved with the educational mission of the school, you don’t go on campus. Not in the post Sandy Hook/Uvalde era. Investigating? Take it off campus.

People calling Trump out for lying about the NOLA driver being an immigrant are fundamentally missing the issue. For Trump, and his base, “immigrant” isn’t about narional origin or residency status. It’s a generic term of denigration, like “faggot”, which was never about affectional orientation.
