The saddest part is that the Supreme Court indicated the law will probably be struck down, but they didn't see any reason to keep it from going into effect in the meantime. Maybe that will change now, or maybe there'll be a compromise.

We may be in #Mississippi but our students (and editors) are all over the country, so that fact that @bsky.app has #blocked MS IP addresses won't stop us. (Plus there are ways around it, #Mississippians.) bsky.social/about/blog/0...
Our Response to Mississippi’s Age Assurance Law - Bluesky
A new Mississippi law requires us to block full access to Bluesky unless all users complete age checks. We have concerns about this law’s implementation.

We may be in #Mississippi but our students (and editors) are all over the country, so that fact that @bsky.app has #blocked MS IP addresses won't stop us. (Plus there are ways around it, #Mississippians.) bsky.social/about/blog/0...

Thanks for noticing us. We've actually been on Bluesky since January 2024. It's interesting to see that our number of followers is now getting closer to what we had on X. More and more people are here these days.

We're still taking submissions of fiction, poetry, short plays, digital writing / new media, and art through March 15, too. Promoting CNF this week.
