The last multiplayer demo I played was Crashout Crew, and I really liked this one! Only did the first two levels, but I can see this game getting really chaotic with a full group of 4 people on the harder levels.

Last night I played through two demos with friends, starting with Ultimate Sheep Raccoon. TBH I didn't really like this one. All it took was one person placing a misplaced trap and the rest of the attempts were completely ruined. I like the concept of it, but more ways to remove traps would be nice

Next up was the demo for REANIMAL. Been looking forward to this one as I'm a huge fan of Little Nightmares and this did not disappoint! Tarsier Studios absolutely nails the atmosphere, and was not expecting there to be voice acting! Really looking forward to the full game!

Just finished the demo for Shadows of the Afterland, and this one really impressed me! If you like classic point and click adventure games then this one is one to check out! Very interesting story, great voice acting, and great puzzles!

Just finished the demo for Riddlewood Manor. A horror/dark comedy point and click puzzle game. I appreciated the togglable addition of jumpscare warnings for people who want the puzzle aspect without the horror. The puzzles themselves were very fun although I found myself getting lost occasionally

The next one I tried is The Oversight Bureau, a voice-controlled puzzle game. Very interesting environment and setup, but was heavily bogged down by AI generated voices that really put a damper on the entire experience. The voice control had a lot more depth than what I was expecting, though.

With Steam Next Fest going on, I'll be doing another thread of demos I've tried and my impressions of them! First up is MOTORSLICE, a narrative-based parkour platformer with single hit death combat a la Hotline Miami. Very interesting environment with the entire game taking place in a megastructure!

I finally did it! After 40+ attempts, Omega has finally been conquered! Although, now I gotta run it more to get the rest of the dark knight set and the fully upgraded greatswordk.....

Having revisited Stormblood's MSQ through watching a sprout friend, I realized that the Resonant (people artificially implanted with the echo), are nearly identical to the concept of Cyber Newtypes from Zeta Gundam, artificially created newtypes like Four Murasame.

It's definitely because funnels and bits in Gundam have been used as defensive tools before, such as the aforementioned funnel shield from the Nu Gundam, or the Bit Shield of Gundam Aerial! So having a weapon that damages and shields is perfect for a shield healer.

Soldier S0, the second boss of the Underkeep dungeon, has a shield reminiscent of the Strike Gundam from Gundam Seed, legs reminiscent of Gundam Exia from Gundam 00, and the shoulder pads of Gundam Aerial from Witch from Mercury

The Alexandrian sentry bots have the iconic yellow/gold vents in the chest, the waist skirting, and bands around the feet that Gundam have.

While unconfirmed and mostly just my own speculation, the echo could be based on Newtype abilities from Gundam. Visions, psychic abilities, and the ability to understand others past language barriers and intent.

Pneuma may very well be a reference to Gundam Wing's Wing Zero Buster Rifle blast.
