I was really lucky! A friend’s poodle got her lovely topknot flattened. A lot of groomers around here have wait lists for new clients.

That is awful! I’m glad you found someone you are happy with. We got lucky with our first groomer by choosing certified fear free.

Have you thought about which bits of poodles are shaved? That might not be a suit to wear in public!

My sister’s foster cat went through it years ago. It didn’t seem to take long to heal and made him a lot more comfortable.

I have a chihuahua and a poodle. The non shedding poodle coat is nice, but the chihuahua sheds for 2.

3 months isn’t long to get over trauma. I had a friend with a dog from a similar situation. Improvement happened slowly over years.

I was talking about this with another friend recently and the conclusions we came to were 1. Do what we can to affect change (vote at the very least). 2. Make our worlds smaller and try to find joy in the smaller world/make that smaller world a better place.
