3. I do like having an organized document of notes, even if I'm still figuring out its order. I've added a section for brainstorming, which has been vital for exploring possible direction and filling in those summaries.

I've adjusted my schedule based on lessons learned and I'm ready to keep going!
A schedule of writing tasks very similar to before, but now plot summaries are separate from character summaries. One-sentence summaries are complete, along with the one-paragraph plot summary. The next step is a one-page plot synopsis. The next steps of character overviews, a multi-page synopsis, and defining events and scenes will take until the one-month break time in July. Narrating and drafting the novel fits in after until another 1-month break in December. It's probably the draft won't be completed until early 2026.

Preliminary schedule. I combined some Snowflake steps and added more for events/scenes, since I love me a detailed scene list. The dates will shift over time as I figure out how long things will actually take, and as I in rest time.

For now though, time to get to work!
Screenshot of a schedule entered into a spreadsheet. Based on this schedule, I need to write a one-sentence summary of the novel today. Over the weekend, I need to write one-paragraph summaries of the plot and each main character. Next week, I need to expand each of those into a full page. The following two weeks, from March 31st to mid-April, I'm to combine all those pages into a multi-page synopsis of the entire plot. The rest of April and most of May is spent figuring out events and subsequently the detailed scenes from that synopsis. June and July will be spent writing a narration of the novel, and finally, writing the draft. The draft is scheduled to be completed mid-November, but we all know that will not be the case.

News is bad, work is bad, and I'm finding nothing nice today so here's a picture of how my cat insists upon sleeping these days. Face down, on my lap, making at least one arm unusable.

When my husband and I are both on the couch, she finds a way to pin us both down.

The bug in question has resumed its climb. Thankfully on the other side of the room this time. It can stay there.
