They probably are.

That sounds like a good listen.

Just got it on Audible. 👍

It will be right up after Tom Holland.

The collapse of the wool industry in the 1960's saw Tilburg lose it's "wool capital of the Netherlands" crown, but they still celebrate their proud heritage and odd nickname in some quite unusual ways.

So, if you ever meet someone from Tilburg, you might jokingly say "Oh, you're a jug pisser".

One of the wool cloth making processes is "felting" where heat, friction and chemicals are used to open up the wool fibre. It used to be called "matting", and the chemical used was human urine.

The urine was provided by the locals, which earned them the nickname "Kruikenzeiker", jug pissers.

Nothing much of note went on in Tilburg until collectives of sheep farmers decided not to sell their wool, but to process it on their own looms.

By the 17th century there were some 300 looms.
By 1881 there were 145 woollen mills, and Tilburg was known as the wool capital of the Netherlands.

Come with me to the town of Tilburg in the Netherlands.

A municipality of some 220,000 souls, known (officially) as Tilburgers.

OK Evri, let's not get carried away.

It's a pair of hair straighteners for the wife, not a division of crack combat troops for the front.

Hey @martian-observer.art

I've found another bus stop I can afford.

That explains a lot.

Losing an engine is one thing, but LOSING an engine is a much more serious matter.

Why would I want to connect with thousands of fat, lazy, bad photographers, who have more equipment than talent? 🤷‍♂️

Slaughterhouse was good.

Everyone was dressed in a blood stained butchers apron, and was wearing a pig mask.

I think I spoiled it for them by shouting "HERE PIGGY PIG PIG! THE BIG BAD WOLF HAS COME TO GET YOU!"

And "DELIVERANCE TIME PIGGIES. WEEEEEEEEE WEEEEEEEEE!"

Built in 1989 by Ron Gustafson, who got the idea after the wind chill in Cut Bank hit −64 °F (−53 °C).

The claim "Coldest spot in the nation" however is disputed. Not least by Alaska.

The Cut Bank penguin should not be confused with the one in Innisfree, Albert, made for the film "Cut Bank".

Shamelessly lazy one today.

The world's largest penguin is in Cut Bank, Montana.

It's 27 feet high and weighs 5 tons.

When it looks picturesque and deserted on IG pics, but you turn up to find out it's an overcrowded tourist trap.

Or to put it another way; exactly my reaction when I went to Mostar.

I love how some of the insects there drink by letting the fog condense on their bodies.

Their example has lead to a whole industry of "fog harvesting"
