$97M, but this seems to be more... how much have these pet's owners profited off them??
The Pet Rich List | Cats.com
The world’s richest pet, a German shepherd known as Gunther VI, is reported to be worth $500 million today. The runner-up in this list is premium cat food owner, Nala Cat, with a net worth of $100 mil...

Yeah, sadly they look the way they do because of some pretty nasty mutations that impact their health, primarily their bone and cartilage structure that gives their ears the distinct fold, but also heart and kidney issues. As a breed, they are banned (breeding/selling) in several countries.

That's hilarious, but I don't think there's a pet equivalent of Coogan accounts 😆

But perhaps her acting chops have netted Taylor $90M but that seems way too high!

I have no idea where that figure could come from except to say maybe TS set up a trust to take care of Olivia if Taylor were to die first?!? She's an animal; she can't own assets!

My 6.5yo and I went through the timeline on the ME! MV and he was a kitten at the filming, and it came out April 26, 2019, so Benji should be approaching 7!

You can't tell me those cats don't have nutritionists, personal trainers, emergency vet on-call.
November 11, 2025 at 4:26 PM
In my mind, there are at least two people whose full-time job is to care for these creatures, but maybe that's excessive and maybe it's just one person who is managing all their grooming, their vet appts, their catered meals, etc

Article from April, so I guess Meredith has since turned 14, Olivia will be 12 in January, and Benjamin is maybe 6.5?

Meredith and Olivia are Scottish Folds (average lifespan 12-16 years) and Benji is a ragdoll (13-18 years avg, but can live into 20s)

Like the general rule when we bought our condo about ten years ago was that, in a good market, you had to live somewhere 5-10 years for it to be worth it. For a 50yr loan, once you consider maintenance, homeowners' insurance, and property tax, you'd be losing money if you didn't stay for over 30 yrs

They're kinda like a space blanket. They work so long as your cat stays on it long enough for the body heat to build up.

We bought an electric mattress heating pad for our bed (has dual temp controls for each side). I don't know the power suck, but we are using way less heating so far this fall!

For a 50-year, 6% loan, you'd pay ~2.2x interest of the loan, so about 3.2x the total loan. But with how compound interest/amortization work, you mostly just pay interest for the first 20 years. Expecting a family to not have to move for longer than a generation means you may build NO equity.

I'm going to bed. I'm just mad 🤬

End single family zoning, streamline development, offer subsidies for building in transit connected communities, explore alternative production methods like advanced modular. Invest in public housing again! America is obsessed with privatization! Public goods are not meant for profiteering!

It's truly a moving the goalpost moment, every Trump move. Look, we're making buying a home affordable! Except you take on all risk and maintenance, basically build no equity, so it's like renting but worse!
Look, the thanksgiving dinner is cheaper! But there's less food and lower quality! Shhhh! 🤫

Meanwhile, we bought our house during pandemic lockdown, and between rising home prices and a ~3% rate, our home equity and our loan are about 50/50 now. So we are locked in. The only way for us to move would be to a much cheaper market/smaller home and use mostly cash. A lateral move would be 💰💰💰💰💰

Title IX also did HUGE things for American ability to compete in sports! (Ty Billie Jean King for contributions to women's sport and for supporting trans athletes!!)

One of the reasons that the US does so well in the Olympics is bc of the biological diversity of its residents. Different events have different natural advantages.

Yeah, we're really trying to instill a sense of Jewishness in our children who, despite having two Jewish parents, have only one Jewish grandparent... and they also love Christmas (I mean, yeah, it's fun!)
